a whirlwind of activities

I managed to catch my breath from the busy-ness to blog proper. I really need to work out some kind of blogging plan, just like Elise Blaha. She is really my daily inspiration!

Since the start of SBM (Scrapbook Market Grp), I have come to know some really lovely friends who loves crafting as much as I do. I had the opportunity to join my first ATC swap (this will come as a seperate post when I receive all the ATCs from Jie Ying (: ), I got to meet these scrappers face to face during meetups to buy or sell, I got to join another handmade swap organized by Jean from Jean Stitch and definitely gotten some really good deals off the group. These wonderful people encouraged and motivated me to scrap, to keep going even when my mojo's low.
So I shall let some lovely photos do the talking. Pretty overdued but better late than never sometimes yeah? (:

Valentine's Day was also yet another lovely affair that I should have taken time to share. It deserves a post of its own and I will do one really soon! But wanted to take the chance to thank my dearest for making this year's extra special. He surprised me by taking me to one of the best musical experience- Wicked! We enjoyed ourselves so much. Thankful for how God has brought him into my life. (:

3 years milestone.

so finally, we are reaching our 3 year milestone of togetherness on the 22 June 2011. its a journey of good times and bad times, a journey of changes and adaptation, a journey of ups and downs and most of all, a journey with a hope for a better future together. we will get there. (:

to mark this special day, i made something out of a canvas i bought from Lia off her site about a month ago. misted it, stamped it, added papers, embellishments, photos. wala! the completed piece. i'm really satisfied with the final outcome and i do hope dear will love it too.

we had our advanced 3 year dinner yesterday at concorde hotel. its called harvest of the sea buffet and we were really contented with the meal. pretty good spread and quality at a good price. yums (: we are really food people, the both of us. i think a huge part of our dates revolve around food and new food places haha.

one more post before monday arrives. wish the weekends were longer though ): my cousin celebrated her 21st over the weekends and i was given the role of doing up the guestbook! i used alot of pink paislee soiree collection for the book! bought the maya road 8 x 8 album and altered it. i had so much fun!



















for the inside pages, i managed to clear quite a bit of last season's papers from fancy pants, october afternoon, AC etc. used flowers from Prima, blings from Zva, the frame from making memories and of course from netting from a craftshop in AMK that sells cloth, buttons and all the sewing whatnots! (:

awhile back i also made a frame for a friend's solemnization.



am very happy for her and I pray that her marriage will be a very blessed one (:

elated with my progress

yes, as the title says, i am elated because i think i'm getting a little better at scrapping and thinking out of that narrow box. considering i always thought ribbons were meant only for bows, i progressed to using ribbons to make flowers (:

and i want to exclaim real loud here, washi tape really rocks my socks! its so versatile and easy to use! its like, those tapes fill the gaps when you sit there stumped, wondering what's missing in your art work and wala! washi tape comes to the rescue!

thanks to my friend eliz, also a fellow scrapper, she informed me that urban write was carrying some of those delightful tape. got my hands on 4 different rolls. coupled with the 6 rolls on the way from rachel, i have a total of 10 rolls of tape now! yay! (told you i was a materials hoarder yikes.} okay can i harp alittle more on how much i love urban write? its pure joy! i wish i had an ntuc trolley and i could run through those shelves of scrappy goodness, filling my trolley abrim! haha. yes i wish.

i finally made my first purchase over at http://www.thescrapbookcarton.com/ as well. got my hands on all the basic adhersives like glossy accents, tape glue, foam dots and glue dots, a bunch of AC and dear lizzy thickers plus those nic nacks. happy. so now with all the tools and stuff, i have no reason not to scrap up a storm!

i completed a scrappy altered frame for my boyfriend. its becoming a tradition for me to scrap something for him and it makes me a very happy girlfriend that's for sure. he is not a very artsy person but i know he appreciates the little diys (: this year for Christmas, he got me a canon selphy photo printer and he said this that touched me very much. he thought that the printer would be the most apt present for me to show his support for my scrapping passion. now i can print photos in the comforts of my home with ease for my LOs, altered works etc (:

here are some photos of the frame which i would be giving him on our Christmas date on the eve. we will also be celebrating with my family on the actual day after Christmas service. blessed!
