Throwback.

Throwback to a couple of weeks ago where I attend the watercolour class. It was such an experience and it truly brought my back to my love for working with this medium. Absolutely inspired by Dawn Tan, a Singaporean born artist located in Australia now. some day, I hope to take up a class with her, in Melbourne maybe? ;)

 

And so armed with my new supplies, I am excited to keep practising in my own time.

Illustration & Watercolours.

One of the highlights for the month of Feb would have to be an illustration & watercolour painting I signed up for with Shop Wonderland. I did some painting when I was much younger and I can safely say I have since forgotten most of what I have learnt.

If you know me, drawing and painting's still my first love even though I scrapbook for most part now. A class like that, who can pass it up. So that's how I ended up in the beautiful shop, on a sunny Saturday morning, pencil and brush in my hands, having the time of my life.

 

Priscilla, our teacher was very helpful and she had so much talent! Ever so inspired now to keep practicing!

 

This painting's going to be framed and hung in my new home. Looking at this picture's making me hungry for something healthy. Coffee bean's mixed salad, maybe?

Summer Stamp School by Studio Calico!

I took the plunge and decided to sign up for Studio Calico's latest Summer Stamp School. Looking forward to awesome classes, tips, tricks on stamping from the best in the scrapbooking field. The best part of this whole class is the exclusive stamp set that comes along- designed by my favourite scrapbooker, Kelly Purkey herself!

Really excited to receive this stamp set and start playing with it! 

The Little Happy Shop's Coptic Book Binding Class

I'm excited! Very excited! That's why it deserves a post of its own! Got to know that there were bookbinding classes going on through the facebooks of some fellow scrappers and I found myself at the website of The Little Happy Shop! Kind of missed the kettle binding workshop but they had a coptic binding one to be held in April. My fingers found their way to the sign up button and now I am counting down. Yay!

This is one of the items on my 2012 to learn list!

Since we are on the topic of to learn list, I have decided to use my new pink smash book to document all the new things I will be learning this year & it will double up as an idea book too. I can't wait to get started! How about all you smash bookers, how will you be using yours? (:
