Scrap with V's 15th August Sketch Challenge

here's another layout for Scrap with V's sketch challenge. do visit the blog for more information on the sketch and how you can be a part of it!

here's my take using my stash of American Crafts papers. the layout documents my first love letter  snail mailed to me by boyfriend. this was in August 2008. he knew i love receiving letters and he was so sweet to mail me one even though he doesn't like writting very much. (: i can't tell you just how much i appreciate this man. in these 3 years+, he has done so much to take care of me. there will of course be the bickers, fights, grouchy faces etc but we have survived them and i believe they make the relationship stronger. thanks love for being there for me. (:

updates from my iphone

as the title speaks, i'm blogging straight my mobile, a first. life has been busy but fullfilling and definitely scrap productive if you asked. couple of layouts to share in the month of september. i finished the month's DT kit works. so glad that it jas been smooth thus far, quite ahead of schedule except for one more set of layout instructions. so stuck with work that i get home really exhausted and i totally forgot about the outstanding stuff ): had better get my act together and stay focused!

on a lighter note, i stocked up on new CHA goodies again recently and got myself papers from crate's random collection, and fell in love with jilibean's soursoup (cant get the name right) collection. the best part was the film canister from graphics45! so so yummy (: am going to use the amy tangerine collection for the album in the canister hehe. i got some mister huey's in barnwood, hambly washi tape, acrylic block for my clear stamps, a distress ink pad in scattered straw (finally restocks!) and those amy tangerine brads! mwl's presidential specials came just in time for my purchases. (:

can't wait to blog proper soon. off to busy again now, God bless and have yourself a fab weekend!

book recommendation

how's everyone's weekend coming along? it was really scrappy on saturday and very retail therapy-ish after church today! am on my own this weekend as the boyfriend was away in thailand; his company's offsite getaway. feeling a little weird without his phone calls but it was good to just hang around at home yesterday. i managed to clean up my room, rearranged my scrap materials and completed another layout for scrap with v. i will have 2 layouts to share, one tomorrow and another in september. now that challenge layouts done and set aside, i'm going to start on another challenge, non-DT. ideas are coming in and i cant wait to get started! hope to get it done by next weekend before the challenge closes.

other than my scrappy antics, i just finish reading a book recommended by my solution focus brief therapy trainer. its a novel written by a psychiatrist. very interesting book, its fiction, and i would say some parts of the book are rather thought provoking but it hooks me to read on.

thought for the day: i shall use up all those loose pieces of pattern papers and those embellishments that i haven't touched in ages and turn them into mini books to record reflections, verses, interesting tidbits etc, mostly related to God and snippets of my life. i shall honour Him by scrapbooking my thanksgivings. quiet time + scrapbooking quiet time reflections = awesomely brillant (if there is such an expression haha)!

Scraplicious Sketch Challenge #1

how can i ever pass it by; a challenge hosted by a local scrapbook shop? i strongly support the local scrapbooking stores and their initiatives because i believe this is one of the many ways to keep scrapping in Singapore alive. i have a scrapbooking dream for Singapore but i will share it another time. (:
