Celebrating 4 Yrs + Zoo Trippin'

Celebrated our 4 years at Chef Daniel's Kitchen- Good service, lovely ambience, delicious food, awesome companionship. What more can I ask for on this special day? (:

A much anticipated trip to the zoo was not dampened by the hot weather. I got to feed the goats, take pretty photos and have myself a blast watching 2 animal shows!

Altered Tin- We r 4!

We turned 4 last Friday, 22 June 2012! Of course, it is a tradition of mine to create a little something for my better half. I went for an altered gift this round using G45 papers. Just a little confession, in my almost 2 years of scrapbooking, I have never purchased G45 papers. Reason being, I was a little intimidated, I didn't quite know how to use them. I love the prints but never had the courage to do anything with it. But this year, I really wanted to overcome; to overcome whatever that scares me or makes me feel like like "I can't". And so I went and purchased and created. My first attempt doesn't seem too bad I hope. But my special person love it so that's all that matters. (:

So here's sharing some pictures of my little project:

Beautiful

"If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants. Give her the gift of words, in poetry, in song.

You will smile so hard you will wonder why your heart hasn’t burst and bled out all over your chest yet. You will write the story of your lives, have kids with strange names and even stranger tastes. She will introduce your children to the Cat in the Hat and Aslan, maybe in the same day. You will walk the winters of your old age together and she will recite Keats under her breath while you shake the snow off your boots.

Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads. Or better yet, date a girl who writes."

An everday affair.

Dreams. It is my every day affair.

Day dreams, night ones; my head creates different stories, adventures, beautiful things. I dream about baking lovely food, about exploring places faraway, about creating art in different forms.

And today, I dream mostly about travelling to places. After reading blogs about life in new york, I want to be there for awhile, to visit especially the Brooklyn Art Library. It seems like the very place for me. Brooklyn, oh Brooklyn. Seems so very far. But I believe, I will get there one day.

Niagara Falls, Grand Canyon, wait up. I am coming for you too.

June Challenges on Scrap with V!

Yesterday I pretty much had a meltdown mentally & emotionally, due to work and all the itty bitty insignificant things.

This morning, I woke up feeling the aftermath of yesterday's meltdown but recovered from it a little, keeping my head clear of those unhappy things. Whatever that has happen will not put a damper on my weekends, it just isn't worth it.

I am going to catch Snow White & the Huntsman today to put my mind at some rest. Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth; two of my favourites in the same movie, a must watch.

Apart from my gibberish above, heh, sharing 2 layouts for June'sketch challenge & inspiration challenge on Scrap with V's blog.
