The weekend was spent visiting another interesting art market made up of local designers who have come together to create awareness of all things original and handmade. It was truly inspiring and it gave me so much to think about; about the art scene in Singapore, how it is growing and how much I long to be part of this and so much more.
In a world full of commercialization and shops selling almost similar items, originality in the local scene is like a breath of fresh air, an uncovering of treasure amidst rubble. I do hope to see this community growing and more people buying in to the notion of handmade and supporting small local businesses as such.
