7adam.

I have always wondered what was up inside the NUSS Guild House; a black and white colonial house. And late last year I won vouchers to 7adam through Chope and was pleasantly surprised to know 7adam was just right inside the colonial house I have always wanted to visit! Double surprise to know it was also an art gallery.

We saved the vouchers for a lunch date, post-valentines. It was such a treat! Coupled with this perfect setting, we had such a good and full time. I had no complains for the food, it was really tasty, every dish that came, even the dessert- toasted honey cake, dreamy! The bread, complimentary, came really hot and fresh. I will let photos do the talking.

So much natural light streaming in during the day that it was beautiful, I would love to go back there for dinner for a different kind of experience at night.

Selfish Gene Cafe.

I found another café that just hits the spot. I dig cafes with large space area, comfortable and clean seating and basically a relaxing atmosphere for catching up with loved ones or just reading over coffee. Selfish Gene Café fits the bill, tucked away on Craig Road.

I love it the moment I opened its doors. The smell of lingering coffee, the not too loud chatter of customers, the clinging of utensils and the sight of relaxed individuals flipping through magazines on a lazy public holiday. Best part was there was no queue. I easily found a table. There was enough seats to accommodate everyone.

My other half and I ordered coffee and their famous banana cake. Plain water was available on a table nearby where we could help ourselves to. There were some magazines to entertain.

We ordered coffee and the famous banana cake. The cake is a must have. On the first bite, I was sold. So warm, so moist. It was so good. Coffees were great as well. Nothing to complain about.

Overall, the experience was pleasant and I would definitely want to come back again for more and of course to give their breakfast sets a go.

This happened sometime back. Coffee's not too bad but I would say I had better ones, pretty crowded at Chye Seng Huat so I didn't quite enjoy very much with the noise and all, service staff were quite aloof, may give that place another shot but not anytime soon.

Headed to Windowsill Pies in the Woods. Walking distance from Chye Seng Huat. The pies were great especially the mint grasshopper one. You get more cream than the pie's crust. Overall, nice place to chill. Next on my list- Selfish Gene Café. Read several good reviews about the place, should be worth a go. (: Happy long weekends!

Blog-worthy food post. Grub's located inside the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio park. The place is small but cosy, indoor and outdoor seating, overlooks lots of greenery. pets allowed. The fish burger's excellent, the churros were great but not quite for the pork burger. Wish i had gone for the Grub cheeseburger. I would still come back again for good food and coffee! The serve a good cuppa!

Please check out the opening hrs before you go, they don't open for dinner till 5.30pm. Lunch ends at 2.30pm. Mondays closed.

Miss crafting. I've been pinning ideas but not much executing them. Need to do so soon! Would very much like to whip up some minis for overdue photos!
